GlobalSync installs as a local file system on your GlobalSearch server. Once installed, the server will recognize a new local disk labeled “Square 9 Global Sync.” The default drive letter is S. The Windows Service named S9GlobalSync must remain running to maintain access to the drive.

The GlobalSync drive is addressable, just like your other local storage devices. Setting up and configuring GlobalSync with GlobalSearch is as simple as pointing to the drive when a new Archive is created.   Alternately, GlobalSearch can be configured to use the GlobalSync drive as the default path for all new Archives.  It is recommend you create a based folder in the Drive (\GlobalSearch) before pointing archives at the drive.
