Most capture operations in the GlobalSearch web client are triggered from the Archives Pane.

Archives Pane

You need to have the proper permissions to capture documents and their indexing data into a specific Archive. (While you may see documents in the Archive because you have View rights, you need other permissions to import documents into it. Please contact your GlobalSearch administrator for your permissions settings.) With those permissions, you can import your files with indexing data into an Archive in several ways:

  • Drag files from your computer to the Archive
  • Scan from a TWAIN-compliant scanner
  • Browse to a directory and capture individual documents
  • Capture files in bulk using CSV files
