Like the digital equivalent of tabs on paper file folders, Index Fields gives you the ability to classify and search for documents. Unlike paper filing systems, you can quickly resort them in various ways based on individual status values and search through them using different methods.

Once documents are captured and indexed, you can view, edit, or delete information either on the document (image enhancements and annotations) or the indexing data (such as approving an invoice for payment or updating a customer address).

Note that the ability to edit indexing data or documents depends on the proper permissions.
