Square 9 offers a comprehensive and fully functional advanced capture platform called GlobalCapture. For users with basic, or more ad-hoc capture needs, the GlobalSearch Web client offers multiple options for document capture including:

  • File imports from a local or network share
  • Scanning from any twain compliant scanner
  • Import of data and documents from a CSV file
  • Drag & Drop from Windows into a GlobalSearch Archive

All capture operations in the GlobalSearch web client are triggered from the Archives pane:

If you have the proper permissions to an Archive, you can capture by selecting from the Archive menu or by simply dragging files from your computer to the Archive.

Just because a user can see an Archive does not mean that user has permissions to add document records to it. GlobalSearch permissions are strictly enforced. If you can not perform these functions, contact your system administrator to review the permissions in your environment. To add documents to an archive, click the ellipsis icon to the right of the Archive name to access a capture menu for that Archive. Alternately, you may Drag & Drop files from your computer to and Archive.
