Create Email Entries in Launch Table

Configuring launches to your local email applications are somewhat different than for other applications. While the path and arguments can be modified, the Email Launch entry cannot be deleted, nor can another one be added.

Edit Entries in Launch Table

  1. To edit entries in the Launch Table, in the Launch interface, click the More Options () icon for the selected entry and select Edit.
  2. In the Launch Entry dialog box, make your modifications and click Save

Edit Email Entries in Launch Table

  1. To edit email entries in the Launch Table, in the Extensions Manager interface, from the vertical Extensions menu, select Launch.
  2. In the Email bar, click the More Options () icon and then click Edit.
    • Note that in the Launch Entry dialog box that appears, Extension is set to Email and is non-editable.
  1. Microsoft Outlook® is the default email application; it does not required further configuration. You can change the Max Size setting, if you wish.     Again, needs to continue list numbering.
    1. In the Max Size (MB) text box, enter the maximum size (in megabytes) that attached files can be, per email message. You can type in the amount or use the Up/Down arrows to the right of the box.
      • Because most email clients limit allowable size per message for all attachments to 25 MB, this is set by default. If you change the Max Size limit and your email client cannot handle the file size, documents will fail to attach to the message.
  1. IBM Notes® settings are preconfigured; simply uncheck Outlook. As with Outlook, you can change the Max Size setting.
  2. To select a different local email client, do the following:
    1. Uncheck Outlook.
    2. In the Path text box, enter the path of the email client executable.
    3. In the Argument text box, enter the argument needed to tell the email client how to attach files when composing a message.
      • Optionally, in the Argument text box, enter the Square 9-specific argument /square9_manual_monitor. You can use the argument /f /square9_manual_monitor specifically for Outlook. /f is an Outlook command-line switch that tells Outlook that it is going to be opening a file. Documents launch using this argument in Manual Monitoring mode and then open the Launch Queue dialog box.
    4. In the Delimiter text box, enter the character used in the argument to separate the attached files.
    5. Enter the argument needed to end the message in the End Argument text box.
  1. Click Save and the file type will be mapped for use with Email.
