Source documents can come in a variety of formats and levels of quality. KeyFree Indexing uses OCR to pull high value data from the document image. OCR is not 100% accurate and results are largely based on the quality of the scanned image. Fuzzy printing, wrinkles, or dirt may affect the results. In general, the default settings typically work very well for most applications, but some images may benefit from customizing your OCR settings to match the document.

  1. To adjust the OCR settings for KeyFree Indexing, navigate to the Document Viewer and select the Settings icon in the upper right corner.

  2. Use the right arrow (top row) to navigate to the tab for KeyFree Indexing

  3. Configure your settings and click OK.  Note that KeyFree Indexing settings affect only your local client workstation.

  4. To restore the KeyFree Indexing to the factory default settings, click Set Defaults and at the OCR Settings – Confirm Reset confirmation question, click Yes.
